This Cookie Policy explains how BOFS Energy & Sustainability (“BOFS”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar storage technologies on this website (bofs-es.com). What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site remember your actions and preferences over time. Similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser, work in a comparable way. In this policy we use the word “cookies” to cover both, unless we say otherwise.

Cookies can be set by us (first-party cookies) or by a third-party service whose content is embedded in a page, such as a booking widget or a map (third-party cookies). They can last only for the length of your visit (session cookies) or remain on your device for a set period (persistent cookies).

How we use cookies on this site

BOFS keeps its use of cookies deliberately limited. We do not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or behavioural tracking, and we do not run a third-party analytics suite. The technologies below fall into three groups: strictly necessary, functional, and third-party embeds that load only after you give consent.

Consent and embedded third-party content

Strictly necessary and functional cookies are needed for the site to work and to remember basic preferences such as your language. Under applicable EU rules, these do not require prior consent, although we still tell you about them here.

The non-essential third-party embeds, namely the Cal.com booking widget and the Google Maps map on our Contact page, are blocked by default. They do not load, and they cannot set any cookies, until you accept them through the cookie banner. If you choose not to consent, the rest of the site continues to work normally and you can still reach us by email or phone using the details below.

When you do allow these embeds, the content is delivered by Cal.com and Google, who act as independent providers. Once loaded, they may place their own cookies or use local storage under their own policies, which we do not control. You can review their practices on the Cal.com and Google websites.

Other data the site records

Our website is hosted by OVH in France, within the European Union. Like most web hosts, OVH keeps server access logs that may include your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. These logs are generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability, not through cookies, and they are not used to profile or track you.

When you submit our Contact form, the details you enter (your name, email address, subject, and message) are sent to contact@bofs-es.com so we can reply. We use the Yoast SEO plugin to manage search engine settings; in its default configuration it does not run analytics or visitor tracking. How we handle the personal data you send us is explained in our Privacy Policy.

How to change or withdraw your consent

You can change or withdraw your cookie choices at any time. Use the cookie settings link in the site banner or footer to reopen your preferences and turn the third-party embeds on or off. Your choice is then saved in the consent cookie described above.

You can also manage cookies directly in your browser. Most browsers let you view the cookies stored on your device, block or delete them, and refuse new ones. Clearing the cookies for this site will reset your saved consent, so the banner will appear again on your next visit. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site, such as the Contact form, from working correctly.
